You can now get free bowel screening if you are aged 58. The National Bowel Screening Programme is offered to people aged 58 to 70 every 2 years.

The programme helps find signs of early-stage bowel cancer even if you don’t have symptoms.

To get invited for screening, you need to be on the register. You can check to see if you’re on the register for BowelScreen.

BowelScreen will invite you by letter to take part in the screening.  You can then request a screening kit using the QR code on the letter, by phoning 1800 45 45 55, or by emailing info@bowelscreen.ie.
