What should happen to campaign posters?
29 October 2025
You’ve probably seen lots of posters for the candidates in the presidential election.
Did you know there are rules about how long the posters can stay up after an election?
- Candidates have to make sure their signs are taken down within 7 days of the election. This means all of them will need to be removed by 31 October 2025.
- If they aren’t taken down by the deadline, local authorities remove them and give on-the-spot fines of €150 for each offence.
