What do I bring when going to vote?

Tomorrow is election day. Polling stations are open from 7am – 10pm.

Where to vote

You can find your local polling station on:

👉 Your polling card

👉 Your local authority’s website

👉 www.checktheregister.ie

Bring photographic identification

You don’t need your polling card to vote, but you must bring photo identification.

Accepted photo IDs include your:

  • Passport
  • Driving licence
  • Work ID card with a photo
  • Student ID with a photo
  • Travel document with photo
  • Public Services Card
  • Bank or credit union book with your address

You can also use these items as ID, if you have another document proving your address in the constituency:

  • Cheque book
  • Credit or debit card
  • Birth or marriage certificate
