Hosepipe ban extended in 3 areas

Uisce Éireann announced a hosepipe ban in May 2025. This has been extended until Monday, 13 October 2025 in:

• 📍Mullingar, Co Westmeath
• 📍Milford, Co Donegal
• 📍Kells-Oldcastle, Co Meath

On Tuesday,16 September 2025 the hosepipe ban ends in:

• 📍 Co. Tipperary
• 📍 Co. Waterford
• 📍 Co. Wexford
• 📍 Co. Cork (excluding Cork City)

During a hosepipe ban you are not allowed to use a hose to:

• 💧Water gardens
• 💧Water recreational parks or sports grounds
• 💧Wash cars and trailers
• 💧Irrigate or spray crops

You are also not allowed to use water for:

• Commercial car wash facilities
• Filling and topping up pools, ponds and lakes

Being asked to limit your use of water is not the same as a water conservation order (hosepipe ban).
