Free home test for hepatitis C

Are you worried you may have the hepatitis C virus?

You can now get a free hepatitis C test to do at home.

You can become infected with hepatitis C (hep C) if you’ve blood-to blood contact with someone with the virus.  You may not show symptoms if you have the virus.

You can get the free test from the HSE, if you are:

✅ Aged 18 and over, and

✅ Living in Ireland

The test kit will arrive at your home in discreet packaging with instructions.

If you’re diagnosed with hepatitis C, treatment is free. You can contact your GP, if you’re concerned.
