Foster carers get Back to School Clothing and Footwear Allowance

Are you a foster carer? 

If you’re getting the Foster Care Allowance, you can now apply for the Back to School Clothing and Footwear Allowance 2025 for each foster child. 

If you qualify, you’ll get: 

✅ €160 for a child aged 4 -11

✅ €285 for a child aged 12-22 years

Children aged 18 - 22 years must be returning to full-time second-level education in the autumn of 2025. The closing date for applications is 30 September 2025.
